PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Erection of 260 residential flats in a series of buildings ranging in height from four to eight storeys including public and private open space with water feature, play spaces, footpaths, cycleways, estate roads and car parking.
PROJECT COMPLEXITIES
The site is located alongside the Great Ouse river in a flood prone area, which required very careful environmental management. As this was the second phase of the development, the avoidance of noise pollution and other disturbances to the existing local residents were key considerations in the design of this project. The works included the construction of a flood catchment basin, roads and sewers.
