KILKENNY CHEESE
Kilkenny County Council has issued notification of its decision to grant planning permission for a €140m cheese manufacturing plant at Belview in South Kilkenny. The new facility will be constructed by Glanbia in partnership with a Dutch dairy partner, Royal A-ware, and is expected to be operational in 2022. The facility will manufacture continental cheeses such as Edam and Gouda for the global market. The facility will comprise of a two-storey production plant with associated milk intake. Packing, storage and dispatch area, offices, laboratories and personnel facilities. Malone O’Regan are providing a fully integrated project management, design, procurement and cost management service on the project.
