BARR AN AIRD, COOLCOTTS, WEXFORD
Works have commenced on a 67 unit residential development for Cluid Housing Association at Coolcotts, Wexford. The new development consists of a mixture of semi-detached, terrace and apartment style accommodation. The diversity of the unit layout and design requires blockwork construction with localised structural steel framing, timber 1st floors with concrete floors in the apartments. An engineered timber truss roof will be used for roof construction in all unit types. A sustainable drainage system coupled with an interceptor will be installed on the site. The proposed drainage system will manage the flow of storm water from the site and remove silts and impurities from the storm water discharge. Malone O’Regan are retained as Civil & Structural Engineer and Ancillary Certifier for the development which will provide 67 state of the art energy efficient homes.
