PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project involved a detailed feasibility study to select a suitable location for the new facilities which comprise circa 5,500m² of production space together with a National Distribution Centre of circa 3,000m² and ancillary office accommodation.
PROJECT COMPLEXITIES
The new Production Building provides a 50m clear span which facilitates a very efficient layout of the production equipment and transfer of finished product to the Distribution Centre. It was necessary to transfer and update the Pollution Control Licence for the facility and to develop an environmental management system for the site. The environmental management system has an administrative and reporting structure, establishing objectives for a structured approach to the Company’s environmental performance and ensuring lines of communication, information flow and the allocation of responsibilities.
