We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Resident Engineer to lead and oversee the construction and delivery of a new Anaerobic Digester facility within the sustainable energy sector. The role involves full on-site management, coordination of Civil, Structural, and M&E works, and direct reporting to the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the client’s on-site representative, ensuring all construction activities are executed in accordance with design intent, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Manage and supervise contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary site teams across Civil, Structural, and M&E works.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards and sustainability objectives.
- Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and cost performance to achieve on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Lead site and progress meetings, produce comprehensive reports, and provide regular updates to the client and senior stakeholders.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, including inspections, testing, and approvals for all works.
- Maintain effective project management systems for documentation, scheduling, cost control, and change management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks or potential delays, ensuring proactive issue resolution.
- Facilitate seamless coordination between design, procurement, and construction teams.
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover phases in compliance with performance and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Chartered status preferred).
- 10+ years’ experience in infrastructure, industrial, or energy construction; experience with anaerobic digestion or renewable energy projects preferred.
- Strong project management, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
